41 years ago today (7 March 1983), Tears For Fears released their brilliant debut studio album “The Hurting” featuring singles "Mad World" "Change" "Pale Shelter" and "Suffer the Children". The Hurting is a loose concept album focusing on themes of child abuse, psychological trauma and depression. Despite its dark subject matter, the album was a huge commercial success.
