This scenario has been going on for decades. For most patron, they have no idea of the freshness of the floral bouquet they bought as they are deliver independent of the patron's visit to the funeral hall. Let alone of the simple fact that most consumer are either inexperience, overwhelmed by grief, or simply wanted to get out of the funeral home as soon as they can.
In fact, this trade is so lucrative that there is rumour the Triads are involved in this recycle business. Perhaps the sad part is in spite of its occurrence, there does not seem to have any negative consequence to the people involved in the trade. It is ironic that the only real consequence is money and profit for the operator ! Personally I never buy from floral vendor within the vicinity of the funeral home area and always insist on buying from my local florist. This way, I am guaranteed that the flower are fresh (since they have no access to these recycle floral bouquet). As to the price, it is actually cheaper. |
