I agree, fixing a badly designed road is a much better solution long term. Lowering the speed limit only allow the government makes more money.
They lowered the speed limit at a section of the freeway close to where I live. It's a set of 3 hairpin curves thru a mountain, one after another. Max speed was 55 MPH before, now it is down to 45 MPH max. I usually slow down, pull to the slow lane and get thru it regardless of the limit. And everytime it rains, there is always 1 idiot driving too fast and flip the car on the 2nd hairpin, never once an exception. (We use the good old miles per hour here, not km in Hong Kong. MPH is a little faster, 55mph is like 88km/h i think) |
