I believe this actually made it pretty big in the US. The English name was "Power Rangers". They even made a movie on it from scratch because of it. I could be wrong, if so, meh.

The US version, they replaced all the "Actors" with US actors but left the "Power Rangers" part from original Japanese show in. One interesting fact was that one of the US actor got charged and convicted of Murder and is currently in jail.
