Real Madrid have reportedly offered Valencia €25 million and Alvaro Negredo in exchange for striker David Villa.
The capital club have been in negotiations with the forward, according to Chelsea representative Juan Cruz Sol, and Florentino Perez is now trying to close the deal as soon as possible.
Hence, AS report that Madrid have offered Negredo and €25 million for Villa, and are optimistic that Valencia will accept.
Manuel Llorente, the president of los Che, knows that even though he is determined to hold onto David Silva, he will not be able to keep Villa, due to the financial situation of the club.
It is reported that Villa's agent was in negotiations all day yesterday with Madrid and that a deal could be finalised this weekend.
With Negredo part of the package as well, reports suggest the deal will be worth around €43 million, as Madrid value their striker at €18 million.
As for Villa, he is currently away in South Africa with the Spanish national squad ahead of the Confederations Cup but has been in regular contact with his agent to keep an eye on the progress of the deal.
The forward is apparently keen to finalise the transfer as soon as possible, so that he will know for sure where he is playing next year.
