It's a bit surprise for me that quite a lot of C Hings are concern about my plans and keep asking me to update. Maybe quite a lot of HK C Hing did wanna go alone, but afraid of being treated badly. I hereby apologise that as I was too busy, I did have too much time to do homework before my arrival in HCM City.

However, this post is finally updated now...........AND, YES, I AM IN THE FRONT LINE NOW, REPORTING TO ALL OF YOU.

1. Visa
Quite a lot of C Hings may notice that you can apply your visa by going to the Embassy in Tin Lok Lane between WanChai and Causeway Bay. However, because I am lazy and I was out-towned already when I think about my visa application. I finally do it ONLINE. Just search for "Vietnam Visa" in Google and you can have lots of travel agencies in Viet handling the "Touch Down Visa Application". I have tried. Total cosing me USD15 online (by Paypal) + USD45 (paid when you are applying the visa) + USD5 (just as absent minded as I did..... forgot about bringing a photo for your visa application). How long does it take? 20 minutes ALL DONE!!!

2. Exchange
The Exchange Rate in the airport surprise me a bit. It is not too much difference as I think........USD1 = Viet 22140 in the airport; Viet 22250 somewhere near the Pho 2000 & Pho 24 around the HCM Train Station. Try to provide them USD 100 / USD 50 for exchange. Otherwise, you might face a lower exchange rate. For example, from 22250 to 22240.

3. Massage House & Beer OM in District 5 around Fortune 2 and Fortune 1
I am staying in District 5 but not really right next to Fortune 2 for Fortune 1. But I did walk around 20 minutes from my hotel to Fortune 2, and then walked along to Fortune 1. Maybe it is too early (12noon to 4pm), signs with word "massage" did show, but seems that they hide the gals at the end of their shops. And, maybe it is too early, Beer Om cannot be identified.

4. Booking of Fortune 2
I did want to stay either in Fortune 1 or 2 before when I was planning my trip. Unfortunately, it is not shown in websites like Bookings.com. I have talked to the frontdesk about this and they said that actually it can be booked by using emails. PM me if you really need that, or you can simply GOOGLE it online.

5. Transportation - taxi
Taxis are really cheap, and size does matters here. If you take small taxis like Honda Jazz, it is cheaper. However, I did have an experience that I paid them a V200,000 note and they have not enough change. Thus, please keep the V10,000 as much as you can if you taxi often.

6. District 1
I was dropped somewhere around Liberty 2. A few massage house around. Normal room charges V250,000 and VIP room for extra 50,000. No idea about the tips. (Yes, I know Austin and other C Hing did post before. I need to do some homework minutes later.)

7. Stocking in District 1
No idea. A bit dark. From foreign webpage, it is noted that "USD100 for all room charge, and 400000 per hostress. All you can drink." I doubt about it.

8. CLUB VIC
Recommended by Austin. Doors not open but with lights. I was there around an hour ago but just outside the club. Will make a try again tonight.


So, C Hing, this is my plan tonight:
1st choice - Club Vic
2nd choice - massage house / Beer OM around Forture 2
3rd choice - W@CH@T
4th choice - being crazy and open a room in Forture 2 KTV by myself

Finally, I have taken the 2nd choice - Beer OM.

By trial and error, I finally find the 3 Beer OM mentioned by Master Austin (http://141hongkong.com/forum.php ... D227%26typeid%3D227).

However, if you are newbie as I do, I bet that you cannot recognise it is a Beer OM. It just like those normal houses besides the streets, with a control desk in the back of the front door with nth else (at least it looks like).

Anyway, I reached Hong-Phat (鴻發).

The front desk gentleman, Mr. He (何) can speak 60% Mandarin. He introduces the prices like beer per can and other stuff. As I remember - room charges 160K, glasses use 80K, chewing gum 20K, KTV 250K/HR (don't worry, I haven't use it). My final bill for rooms and fruits and drinks are 869K.......and, requested by Mami, tipped and make it as a total of 1M.

Girl cost 300K for sitting, but the charges that the Girl and its mami told me were far more than Mr. He told me. Mr. He told me max USD120 for overnight, but the Girl told me it's for ST only. With the backup of Master Austin in PM, I know Mr. He is correct and thus turn down the offer from the Girl.

Anyway, it is a valuable experience and hopefully it helps all C Hings who is heading to HCM alone.

869K is around $40 usd. That is a normal price for spent few hours in beer om. If you have more people going together, your cost may go down a little.  I think those beer om girls know you are foreigner try to rip you off.    it should be 1250K for ST. 2500K for LT not  120USD for ST.

Body Massage in Q1 will cost more than Q5. Most of the massage in Q5 cost around 100K to 150K per hour, Q1 220K to 250K and VIP room 500K per hour. I never use VIP room before, I do not see any benefit using the VIP room other than pay more. Tips 200K to 300K . If you ask the girl how much you need to tip them, I can bet you they will say 500K and more...

C hing,不要再追問地址啦!在今早的华文報,於28號(前日)中午4時許,第五郡公安去掃場拉了十餘人,其中有主持人,另外有衣著暴露的女服務生,亦有祇穿內衣褲在房內侍客的女服務員,該Beer Om在五郡陳畗街,亦接近安陽王街(即是Beer Om集中區)各位大佬要醒定啦!就算去Beer Om,暫時應該都無嘢玩.

第五郡的Beer Om大部份進中在(Tran Pho)陳富街,(Le hong phong)黎雄峰街,(An Duong Vuong)安陽王街.
