Wine price in Canada are unreasonably expensive because of LCBO's near monopoly.  They are more expensive then HK when HK still have the 80% tax.

This bottle was bought last year from Farr and cost just about HK$500.  I have to say this is very good deal even by Farr's standard.

呢個莊好嘢,我飲過 VR 酒村酒都好得.跟住平價入咗 D 貨. 唔知 CHING 有物評價? RSV 太貴,飲唔起.

I heard that the son of Alain has taken over the operation of the domain around 2006/7 and some say that there is some impact on the quality (most say there are no noticeable impact).  I havn't try their recent vintages yet so hard to comment but I still have confidence.  Let me know your comment after you tried them.

BTW, you have a rare bottle of a 1er Vougeot.

Vosne-Romanee 仲有更出色嘅酒莊， 例如 La Tache； Romanee-Conti 等等
Alain Hudelot Noellat 位於 Clos  ...

Havn't heard of Engle....

If you are talking about Engel, then Philippe Engel was dead while having vacation in NZ in 2005 and Domaine Rene Engel has been sold to the owner of Chateau Latour (I think in 2006) and the wines are now sold under the name of Domaine d'Eugenie.

Rene Engel is another domaine that I like but after the ownership change, price increased by 100%.  I have bought a couple of Eugenie 06 VR and they are not as good as before.

Well... the best skill of Bordeaux people is marketing, not wine making.

Engel died in 2005, due to a brain tumor, as I remember; the estate was sold to the owner of Chateau Latour, Bordeaux. Oh, I love Engel wines, the Grands Echezeaux is out of this world. I still have 6 of the 2003 in my cellar. I think it is now called Domaine du Eugenie.

Grivot did not come good till about 1995. Clair-Dau is now Bruno Clair and the Jean Gros Estate is now divided up by the children: Gros Feres and Sours, Michel Gros and Anne Francois Gros.

Engel , Rene Engel  your are right.I 'm in logistics for transportatin.
Sorry to inform you that I don't drink red wine, only white.
And the last serious drinking I made was in the year 2000.
All wines are good, some are better.
