But if you heard the history of Bruce Lee, he fight and win a competition...he still not happy because he feels he can finish the game earlier if he is "stronger".....i have no doubt Ip man could be good in skill, but real situration really talks about "power" and the fitness of the whole body!!!
I don't mean to challenge Yi Man, he is surely great otherwise Bruce Lee won't find him as his master!! I never see his young age body shape, only see the clip above and raised the question on if really too thin, it is not easy to suffer from hard punch! Anyway, i mentioned already technically he is great otherwise won't be anyone master! and famous around....i mentioned real fight, body shape, however, I am wrong for sure if compare different weight and age, should not mix up to fight!! hehe

real fight...
my fd.. your reasonale doubt is based on modern combat
Just like the old Chinese saying, what is "Real", what is "Fight", what is "Kill", what is "matches"
Don't tell me, think on your own.
I'm a free thinker, you could question anyone as you wish
But what I have devoted to say is that Master Yi is great because of his free-thinking-education and inspiration.
Thanks to MAster Yip, everyone starts to pay attention to Chinese Martial Arts instead of Karate (Karate is merely a copy cat of 福建白鶴拳 合氣道 is a copy cat of 8卦掌)
BUt who cares the authenticity after all?
Regarding to you doubt on the body size, it is high time for you to try Muay-Thai
Or were you a truly and sincere combat-freak, try 地下拳 and/or Muay-Boran way of Combat
A person who is a good boxer or good at sparing in the ring is not necessarily a good fighter per se.
You should spend more time to find out more about Master Yip's experience in the field. In the od time, it wasn't good sparings or skills that could get you a place in the trade. For his age at the time, he was a reasonably fit man. I wish you could see his teaching aginst the youngers at the time.
