Have you been there, their living standard is also 4 times where you are. You really have to look at all the factors and really think on your own to see if it is really that much better compare to what you have.

I live in a place perhaps making double my counterpart make in Hong Kong, but I also have to pay 3 to 4 times more tax and I still don't get maternity leave. If I don't have any paid time off saved up, I go unpaid on maternity.

I guess social benefits don't come cheap, I would classify them in four levels:
1.   from craddle to grave;
2.   from womb to tomb;
3.   from worms to sperms;
4.   from erection to resurrection
