Gargoyle Tree Projections by Clément Briend French artist Clément Briend combines the textures of trees with light projections to cast striking images of gargoyles onto the trees of Paris. "I always wanted to photograph the world without it being too faithful to what it is. I always imagined devices that can transform and intervene with the light in things that I photograph. The focus became photographs that include projections and hence the idea of doing shows with projected images."Clément Briend "Légendes" par Clément Briend
Every last weekend of August, thousands of spectators crowded in national de Saint-Cloud, on the occasion of the festival Rock en Seine. Pictures of these moments are used with fervor completely new technique devised by Clement Briend. The goal is to put the public at the heart of the monument! The photographs are the result of work done during the past year, during which the artist projected on the biggest national monuments photographs of the festival audience. The crowd captivated by the music appears on the monuments which have made the history of France. Whether archaeological (Carnac), religious (Notre-Dame), honorary (Pantheon), military (Arc de Triomphe) ... each monument resonates with these images of crowds.
